I’m Leslie and this is my blog… obviously. I grew up in Meridian, Mississippi and transplanted to The San Francisco Bay Area in my early twenties. After many years of living in San Francisco, Alameda, and Oakland, California, I decided to move back to my hometown with my boyfriend, Sean, to save money while we developed our online marketing business.

During the year of being back in my hometown, Sean and myself happened upon a Craigslist ad for a gorgeous rental home in San Ramon de Tres Rios, Costa Rica, which is situated right outside the San Jose area. After we exchanged a few emails with the landlady, we packed our bags and headed off to Central America.

We took many precautions before beginning our journey southward. For instance, we took a fine-tooth comb to the website The Real Costa Rica to find out what type of culture shock was in store for two American spoiled brats. We both agreed that nothing mentioned was out of our coping abilities and decided to go for it.

We currently reside in this rental from the CL ad and plan to stay here in Costa Rica for at least one full year. Maybe longer… we’ll see. We are still undecided as to where we will go once we leave here. China? Ireland? Back to SF Bay Area? Our long term goal is to be able to settle down in the Los Angeles area, but that’s going to take a lot of financial cushion to live there comfortably.

Sean and I are not married, nor do we have any children. We are both now in our early 30s and neither of the two previously mentioned subjects are anywhere near the forefront of either of our minds. We hope to do more traveling around the globe, as most of our travels thus far have occurred mainly within the US, with the exception of a few places in Europe.

We subsist with 3 wonderful cats, who are loving living the pura vida.

I will use this blog to share my adventures with the world. Enjoy.
